Annual Fund

Lobo Club membership is essential to funding the present and ensuring the future success of UNM Athletics. Becoming an annual member is the single most important way you can support our student-athletes and their accomplishments in the classroom, on the playing field and in life. Beyond the rewards of enabling athletic excellence and providing scholarships for our 450 student-athletes, membership in the Lobo Club provides you many opportunities and benefits to enhance your enjoyment of UNM Athletics (please refer to the benefit chart below).

Additionally, annual financial stability in athletics ultimately breeds success and success breeds pride among our many alumni and community members. Scholarships come before championships and are why we encourage you to be a part of our Lobo Club Membership Drive! Scholarship Lobo

The current cost of one 1-year University of New Mexico scholarship is exactly $15,645. Being a Lobo Club donor at the Scholarship Lobo Level ($15,645 and up) is truly making a difference by providing a priceless opportunity and a top-notch education for one of our amazing student-athletes.

An ideal way to positively influence and advance this society, while increasing the quality of life for everyone involved, is through education. A degree is a gift that keeps on giving!

Besides the rewarding feeling of giving, there are numerous benefits at the Scholarship Lobo level, including exclusive Lobo Athletics invitations, priority seating and parking, team travel, select events with coaches & student-athletes and more.

We encourage you to be a difference maker and make the commitment at the Scholarship Lobo Level!

Method of Giving

  • Cash Donations – Most gifts to the Lobo Club are cash gifts and can be done easily by writing a check or by using your American Express, MasterCard, Visa or Discover card. Checks should be made payable to the Lobo Club. Credit card payments and pledges can easily be made online by clicking HERE (link to online pledge submission form to be built… is this something that I’ll be able to go in and create myself? Needs to be a form that people can fill out, hit submit, and we receive an e-mail with the info. Would also like the person to receive a confirmation e-mail.)

  • Pledge – We want to be as flexible as possible for donors to make commitments. We allow you to pay for your Lobo Club donation over a year period (May to April). You are able to pay monthly, quarterly or biannually payments and can set up a payment plan for you or bill you however you prefer.

  • Securities – You may eliminate paying capital gains tax and receive an income tax charitable deduction for gifts of long-term appreciated securities.

  • Gifts in Kind – Gifts of goods or services can be of great financial assistance to the Athletics Department by offsetting needed expenses. All while, offering the donor and business a tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift. Please consult your tax advisor for exact tax benefits.

  • Matching Gifts – Many companies will match your contribution to the Lobo Club. Submit your company’s matching gift form with your contribution and it can significantly increase your support and associated giving level.

  • Memorial Gifts – Remember a friend or a loved one with memorial gifts to the Lobo Club.

  • Estate Planning – You may donate through will provisions, life insurance and other bequests. Estate gifts may be made by donating a designated amount, a real asset or making a residual bequest.

  • Payroll Deduction and Bankdraft Withdrawal –These are both very convenient ways of making your annual gift. UNM faculty or staff can print a Payroll Deduction form HERE (link to attached Payroll Deduction form). Anyone can set up Automatic Bankdraft Withdrawal by printing that form HERE. Both should be mailed back to our office.

  • United Way – Giving to the Lobo Club through the United Way is a great way to be recognized as a Lobo Club member and a United Way donor and can be done by printing out the United Way form HERE. Please mail directly back to the Albuquerque United Way office at 1700 Lomas Blvd NE, UNM Business Center, Suite 3100, MSC01 1300, Albuquerque, NM 87106.

Volunteering
